RED SATIN PATTERNED ART-GLASS PARLOR LAMP - CIRCA 1900'S BEFORE: The lamp in the "BEFORE" photo is pictured just as I received this lamp before I gave it an extensive cleaning. It was in very poor condition. Both the globe shade & the font glass had to be stripped and re-etched. All of the original plated brass had either worn off or was very badly corroded. The font & font ring was incorrect and the brass was in very poor condition. AFTER: First, the correct font & spill ring was located, cleaned, and restored to their original finish and set aside. All of the solid brass work was then removed, returned to its original finish and sealed to protect the original finish. The font liner was removed, cleaned, inspected and re-installed with the original connector bolt. Finally the original chimney heat ring was removed, cleaned and restored to its original finish and then re-installed. The glass was deep cleaned and re-etched to its original finish & finally the lamp components were re-assembled and the "AFTER" photo was taken. CUSTOMER RESPONSE: "Wow!!! I can't believe how beautiful our lamp is. We have a special place in our living room where everyone who comes into our house can see it. We have two more lamps that I will be sending you to restore for me. Please send me some of your cards so that I can give them to our friends and relatives. Thank you so much for giving our lamp a second life, to think we almost sold it??"

DECORATED OPAL ART-GLASS LAMP - CIRCA 1900'S BEFORE: The lamp in the "BEFORE" photo is pictured just as I received this lamp after I gave it an extensive cleaning. It was in very poor condition and the globe shade was missing. The lamp was a family piece and the customer wished to have a complete and accurate restoration of the lamp base and a shade painted to match the base. AFTER: First, the existing lamp parts were completely cleaned, etched, and restored to their original brilliance and finish. The font was located, then polished and lacquered and the brass plated iron base retained enough of its original plating to be polished and lacquered and did not require additional plating. The connector collar had to be polished and lacquered and the correct replacement chimney was located and then placed into the chimney holder, and the Glass was cleaned, etched and polished to remove years of grime, oil, and kerosene residue. Next I set about to have a new blank white ball shade decorated to match the base. When the globe arrived, it was treated to the same cleaning regime as the base glass. Customer was sent photos for final approval and lamp was very carefully packed and shipped. CUSTOMER RESPONSE: "We love it -- thanks for taking such good care of our lamp!"

| "LION" PATTERNED ART-GLASS LAMP - CIRCA 1900'S THE CONSOLIDATED LAMP & GLASS COMPANY - CORAOPOLIS. PA BEFORE: The lamp in the "BEFORE" photo is pictured just as I received this lamp. It was in very poor condition and the globe shade was missing. The lamp was a family heirloom and the customer wished to have a complete and accurate restoration of the lamp. AFTER: First, the existing lamp parts were completely cleaned, etched, and restored to their original brilliance and finish. The font was polished and lacquered and the brass plated iron base retained enough of its original plating to be polished and lacquered and did not require additional plating. Next I set about to locate an old, correct, original matching "Lion" patterned upper globe in the green decorated art-glass with the Safari Scenes. I located a correct and original globe in Virginia, and after several photo exchanges I determined it was close enough to the original green hues to ask for customer approval. After initial customer approval of globe and price, I arranged for the shipment of the globe. When the globe arrived, it was treated to the same cleaning regime as the base glass. Customer was sent photos for final approval and lamp was very carefully packed and shipped. CUSTOMER RESPONSE: "We picked up the lamp finally late yesterday (had to take off early from work to do it). It is absolutely beautiful, thank you so much! We are nervous wrecks about touching it, of course, but we will calm down I'm sure! Boy, no wonder those globes do not survive in great numbers -- the glass seems much thinner and the shape is much more conducive to damage, it seems. Anyway, ours is gorgeous. When it is lit up, it almost looks like it will float! Anyway, we love it -- thanks for taking such good care of our lamp!"

| IRON HORSE HANGING LAMP - CIRCA 1880'S BRADLEY & HUBBARD LAMP COMPANY BEFORE: The lamp parts in the "Before" photo are all that were left of this lamp after a devastating fire ravaged a home. The canopy, chains, weight crown were intact but the shade crown ring was broken and only a small part of the lamp harp was present. The lamp harp, font holder, font & burner, smoke bell and shade were all destroyed. AFTER: The existing lamp parts were completely restored and correct, old, original replacement parts were found to replace the missing parts and pieces. The correct lamp harp frame & pegged font seat were located in Ohio,.restored and assembled to the shade crown ring. The correct Shade Ring was located in New York, restored and attached to the lamp harp. The correct font & burner assembly was located in Louisiana, restored, and then placed on the cast iron font peg. The correct milk glass smoke bell and shade were located in Kentucky, restored and assembled/attached to the restored lamp frame. Customer was then sent a photo of restored & completed lamp for his/her final approval. Lamp was then packed and shipped to customer. CUSTOMER RESPONSE: "We just wanted to let you know that the lamp arrived safely and without anything broken. It is very beautiful and we think you did a tremendous job for us. We have the hanging lamp already in it's place and it is just beautiful. Thank you very much for the effort to find all the missing parts and make them like new again. If we are in your area, we will stop by and see you."
